If you say Scotch Bonnet, you also say Caribbean. With a high level of aroma of fruit, coffee and chocolate combined with the strength, makes this chili very usable in many dishes and of course also beer. Scotch Bonnet has a sweeter and more complex taste than its cousin the Habanero, and if you are visiting the Caribbean and order a spicy meal, you can be sure it is the Scotch Bonnet that gives the heat. Chocolate Scotch Bonnet is a chocolate colored fruit – strength about 9 (300.000 SHU) – that is a good counterpart to the liquorice in the beer. If you try a fresh Chocolate Scotch Bonnet chili, it is a good idea to have a sofa within reach – it is so nice to lie down afterwards.
